1] Prepare a planner

A student should prepare a planner. It can be a weekly planner or a monthly planner. Generally, between the non-scholastic activities and the collegiate activities, the students are expected to be busy. The planner must include the class timings, timing for study and homework and all other activities expected to be done on a particular day. Enough time must be allowed to social and personal obligations as well. The planner needs to be checked on a regular basis to remain on the right path. The students can use the course planning tools to prepare the planner.

2] Develop a network

Lately, networking is vital for an individual to land into his/her dream job. By connecting to other people, one will gain access to that person’s network as well, and this may open new avenues for the individual. 80% of the jobs, in recent times, are landed through networking. Earlier, it may be difficult for a student to build a professional network, but one should not shy away from making a network. Students can use LinkedIn to connect with professionals working in the field of the student’s interest and build relationships with them.

3] Interact with professors

Professors are highly educated, and they have a vast knowledge about the industries where the students want to enter after completion of the course. Professors have an impressive network with industry experts and professionals across numerous companies. If they feel a particular student is eligible for a job in a specific company, they will recommend the candidate for an internship or final placement to that company. Therefore it is essential for the students to build a good relationship with them and show them their skills, hard work and professionalism.
